| Workers Orientation Pacific Forest Rally--2001 Mt. Seymour, North Vancouver top parking lot, to the right as you come up the hill Tuesday, September 11th, 2001 6:30pm (approximately 2 hours) Weather irrelevent. |
| Apologies for the
evening orientation. We
try to do it on a Sunday afternoon, but schedules
and constraints dictated this date for the organizers. I
hope that the date and time is convenient or
doable for many local volunteers. Patrick Richard will provide a brief overview. We will set up controls and everyone will get to practice starts and flying finishes. You will have a chance to work with the time cards that you will be using at the event and use the timing clocks. We will have some people bring their cars and you'll get to practice the almost real thing. Control marshals need to feel confident and be knowledgeable before they find themselves in the bush on the side of the road with real cars flying by real fast.
